SULTAN — Detectives are continuing to investigate a shooting that left a Bothell man injured along a Snohomish County highway Dec. 15.
The man in his late 20s was found by a passerby near U.S. 2 in Sultan. He was treated and released from Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
Detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the circumstances that led up to the man being wounded, sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
No suspects have been identified, she said.
“At this time, it appears that the gunshot wound was not self-inflicted but the result of an assault,” she said.
