I wish to thank the lady in line behind me at Safeway (Smokey Point store) at about 11:45 on Sunday morning, for paying for my groceries. I had accidently left my purse in the car (how embarrassing) and realized it as the clerk was already ringing up my groceries. She said go get the purse and she would finish and set aside my groceries until I got back.
I came back and as I approached the checkout, someone rushed by me and said, "Have a Merry Christmas" to me. I responded same to you without making eye contact and she was gone. The clerk said the lady who just left paid for your groceries. I said I don't even know who to thank. The next lady in line said I don't think she wanted you to know. I asked the clerk to please tell her I said thank you when she sees her again. She smiled and said she would. I don't know who she is, but thank you, and I hope you and yours have a great Christmas. I know the feeling of doing something good like that and I will pass it forward be assured.
Being grateful,
Frankie Wilbanks
