Good riddance, 2013

As 2013 winds down, we at The Buzz would like to thank the following for making our job easier and proving that snark cannot exist without celebrity, politics and human nature:

Miley Cyrus, who immatured before our eyes with a twerk of her butt and transformed Lady Gaga into the reserved elder stateswoman of pop.

Heathcare.gov, the NSA and the Target hackers, who renewed our deep suspicion, frustration and mistrust of technology.

Anthony Weiner, failed New York mayoral candidate and selfie aficionado, who proved that America still appreciates humor popular with boys in the third grade.

The 112th Congress, who outshone the Do-Nothing 80th Congress by shutting down government and voting scores of times against the same piece of legislation. Never has so little been done so poorly by so many.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, who blamed his crack-smoking on his "drunken stupors." Ford helped us brush up on our geography as we learned that Toronto was in Canada and not in Florida as we assumed, based on his actions.
