TOLEDO, Wash. — A Toledo man charged with animal cruelty for killing a goat with a bow and arrow told deputies he was making a sacrifice to God.
The man’s uncle called for help Saturday and said his nephew had shot the goat, slit its throat and was dragging it around the property.
Deputies arrested 22-year-old Kameron D. Williams.
The Chronicle reported that he was charged Monday with animal cruelty and malicious mischief.
The goat, named Betty, belonged to Williams’ father, who did not give his son permission to kill it.
