Read this in a whisper, please; we’re a little hung over

Or just listen to the '80s boy band, Menudo: Herald writer Andrea Brown has helpfully compiled a collection of tips for beating back a hammering hangover should you over-imbibe tonight. Among the suggestions: Vegemite or menudo.

None of those will do much for your current hangover, but the memory of eating vegemite, a spread made from brewer's yeast; or menudo, a soup with beef tripe, should prevent the next hangover.

You say you want a resolution: Joining the lineup of New Year's Eve countdown shows, Fox News Channel offers its "All-American New Year" at 9 tonight. Fox News personalities will share their resolutions for the new year.

Bill O'Reilly resolves to expand the War on Christmas with an opening salvo in the War on New Year's, criticizing those who don't follow references to the current year with "Anno Domini" or "the year of Our Lord" for those who don't speak Latin.

Facebook's new wrinkle: A new study by the Pew Center found that the fastest growing segment of Facebook users are those 65 and older. Forty-five percent of seniors are using the social network.
