Join Friends of Camano Island Parks members on a guided community walk Saturday at Camano Island State Park.
Meet at 9:50 a.m. at the picnic shelter near the boat ramp in the park.
The walk includes elevation gains of about 50 feet, with the rest of the walk fairly level. The trail is 2.6 miles long with excellent views of Saratoga Passage and Elger Bay, and trails through a beautiful fern grotto and along a ravine.
Camano Island State Park is on Lowell Point Road off Mountain View Road.
The two-hour walk is scheduled, rain or shine. Wear appropriate clothes and sturdy shoes or boots.
Trail booklets and maps will be available at the walk for a suggested $1 donation. A state park Discover Pass is required, but for those without, a temporary pass will be provided bv Friends of Camano Island Parks.
