BOISE, Idaho — A huge load of oil production equipment remains parked in eastern Idaho after bad weather delayed travel plans.
The Idaho Transportation Department says the 380-foot, 450-ton shipment didn’t move Friday night but could start rolling late Saturday if weather looks favorable.
The shipment being moved by Omega Morgan is bound for the Kearl oil sands of Alberta in Canada.
It’s expected to travel through Leadore and Salmon before crossing the Lost Trail Pass into Montana.
However, Montana officials have yet to issue a permit for the load to travel on Montana highways.
