Tuesday Pete Carroll notes: Harvin to practice again

The Seahawks are back on the practice field, and for the third straight practice, that means Percy Harvin is out there with them.

"He’s practicing today," Pete Carroll said in a press conference prior to the start of practice.

What Carroll won't commit to yet is whether or not that means Harvin can play in Saturday's game.

"He’s got to get through this practice today," Carroll said. "This will be the first in-season day of practice he’s had in a long time. Last week he did fine. It goes back to—we were in a day-to-day mode a while back, then we went to week-to-week. . . now we’re into let’s just get through today and see what happens.

Asked if Harvin will return kicks if he plays, Carroll said, "We’ll have to wait and see. Don’t know that yet. If he’s playing, in my mind he’s playing, so we’ll do everything we want to do with him, that he wants to do as well, but we don’t know how that’s going to turn out right now. And I reserve the right to change that."

In more positive injury news, tight end Luke Willson, who suffered a high ankle sprain against St. Louis, will practice today as well, Carroll said: "Luke’s going to practice today. That’s a good sign for us."

Carroll said K.J. Wright, who has been ruled out with a foot injury, is the only player who won't be available, but that he is making good progress: "K.J. is going to run Thursday if you can believe that. He’s going to come back and run for us on Thursday and see what that means. That does not indicate that he can play this weekend—he’s not playing this weekend—but an incredible recovery is underway there, and hopefully we can follow through with it next week if we have that chance."
