The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association has finalized its reclassification numbers and it looks like Wesco will have a new look next year. Looks like Arlington and Lynnwood will be moved down and Shorecrest, which opted up to 3A, will remain in Wesco.
Here’s how it will be divided, according to Marysville School District athletic director Greg Erickson:
Wesco 4A (one division)
Cascade
Jackson
Kamiak
Lake Stevens
Mariner
Monroe
Mount Vernon
Snohomish
Wesco 3A (two divisions to be decided Wednesday)
Arlington
Edmonds-Woodway
Everett
Glacier Peak
Lynnwood
Marysville Getchell
Marysville Pilchuck
Meadowdale
Mountlake Terrace
Oak Harbor
Shorecrest (Will be 2A but will play in Wesco 3A)
Shorewood
Stanwood
My guess for Wesco 3A will be North: Arlington, Everett, Marysville schools, Oak Harbor and Stanwood; South: Edmonds-Woodway, Glacier Peak, Lynnwood, Meadowdale, Mountlake Terrace, Shorecrest and Shorewood.
According to everything I’ve read it looks like Cascade Conference will remain unchanged.
