The Moondoggies headline Leavenworth music festival

The Pacific Northwest’s first music festival of 2014 is here. This Friday and Saturday Artist Home brings their new Timbrrr! Winter Music Festival to Leavenworth and there are plenty of reasons you need to be there.

Timbrrr, like other Artist Home festivals, is an experience that is about more than the music. Now of course the music is the center of the event, but there is so much other great stuff going on. There are discount lift tickets to go skiing at Stevens Pass, sledding and tubing hills, buskers performing in the street and at the gazeebo. You can read more about the outdoor activities here.

They will be hosting a Seahawks game viewing party so festivalgoers can come together to watch the Seahawks smash the New Orleans Saints on Saturday.

Being that this is a winter music festival and it is in Leavenworth, Timbrrr won’t just have a beer garden. They will have a hot toddy garden. Yes, you read that correctly. A hot toddy garden. This may actually be the crown jewel of the whole festival. The good folks at Timbrrr teamed up with Caffe Vita on this one. You can view the menu here. I am already eying the Cinnamon Toast KRUNK.

Oh yeah, and there is going to be some pretty great music too. Everett’s own The Moondoggies are headlining with other great local bands like Hey Marseilles and The Lonely Forrest. The band I am most excited to see, though, is hands down You, Me and Apollo. They were the big surprise of Doe Bay Fest 2013 and have easily become my new favorite live band. Seeing You, Me and Apollo for the first time was like the first time I had my mind blown by Pickwick and I can’t wait to experience that again.

For a chance to hear the great bands playing Timbrrr this weekend just check out the playlist below. Or if you would like to experience these tunes the proper way you could always just buy tickets and come to Leavenworth this weekend. There are a handful of tickets left and festival goers can score great hotel deals here. This is going to be a unique experience you won’t want to miss.
