MOSES LAKE — The Washington State Patrol says at least 1,000 gallons of ethanol spilled from a tanker trailer after it flipped over on Highway 17 south of Moses Lake.
The Spokesman-Review reported that the truck was northbound when the driver lost control Tuesday and hit a guard rail.
The big rig came to rest blocking both lanes. The patrol says the highway was closed for 12 hours while the Environmental Protection Agency responded to clean up the spill.
Troopers say the driver will be cited for driving too fast for conditions.
