PASCO — A man who stabbed a roommate to death at a Pasco home for the mentally ill was found guilty Monday of second-degree murder.
It was a third strike for 29-year-old Joseph W. Hart and he’ll be sentenced next week to life in prison without parole.
The Tri-City Herald reported that Hart was convicted by a judge after prosecutors and defense lawyers agreed to Hart’s role in the fatal stabbing last March of Rodger A. Lincoln, 53. They shared a home owned by Lourdes Health Network for housing people with mental illness.
Hart was evaluated at Eastern State Hospital and a state psychologist concluded he was sane at the time of the stabbing.
