Friday Seahawks links: Percy's back

So, did you hear that Percy Harvin is back? No? Well he is, and that's the topic of many stories, including this one in today's Herald.

If you missed it yesterday, Marshawn Lynch talked for the second week in a row, and for the second week in a row, he did his best to be brief.

In expected news, Walter Jones was named a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Thursday night.

Recent history tells us that being a No. 1 seed isn't quite as much of an advantage as one might assume. I caught up with Mike Holmgren, who led a top seeded Seahawks team to the Super Bowl, to discuss the pros and cons of being the top dog in the playoffs.

Speaking of Holmgren, he had a good interview with Saints coach Sean Payton on the Dave "Softy Mahler show on Sports Radio KJR Thursday.

Don Ruiz of the Tacoma News Tribune, a New Orleans native, looks back at when the Saints were the Aints, and how they eventually became one of the NFC's best teams.

From TheMMQB.com, previews of each of this weekend's games.

Peter King with a one-on-one interview with Pete Carroll.

CBSSport.com's Pete Prisco studies the film and says Byron Maxwell is actually an upgrade, in terms of coverage, over Brandon Browner, the player he replaced.

ESPN's Mike Sando looks at Kam Chancellor's ability to intimidate.

From the Wall Street Journal, a story on Seattle's pass defense that reads like something Jim Harbaugh might have written.

Sam Farmer of the L.A. Times with a nice piece on Seahawks linebackers coach Ken Norton Jr. and the influence of his father, former heavyweight champ Ken Sr. who passed away earlier this season.

ESPN's experts made their picks, and just about everybody likes the Seahawks.
