The pedestrian, a man in his mid-50s, was in a crosswalk when he was struck at 5:09 p.m., Everett police Sgt. Ryan Dalberg said.
The northbound driver, also a man in his mid-50s, was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence, Dalberg said.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital and was expected to survive. The driver was unhurt.
