John Lovick is obliviously way over his head as a Snohomish County Executive and formerly as County Sheriff. In the article, “Sheriff $5M over budget” there seems to be some disconnect in Lovick’s responsibility for the Sheriff’s Department being without a deputy sheriff’s contract for years and the fact that they bailed out in extraordinarily high numbers taking their $100,000 in training with them to other departments. Just who signed the belated contracts further violating the budget? Why do we even have a budget if it is so easily violated? What in his training or experience has equipped him to handle a multimillion dollar budget? Maybe was being a State Patrol sergeant? Perhaps it was being a State Representative? I think we have clear evidence now that he has risen to his level of incompetence.
