BYOB: The mini-bar, a hotel room mainstay since the 1970s, may soon disappear, as today’s travelers prefer cocktails in the bar off the lobby and amenities such as wi-fi and laundry service.
The lack of mini-bars could be inconvenient for folks who, after a night of intemperate drinking, find that they can’t blame the bar tab on larcenous hotel maids.
