Associated Press
MISSOULA, Mont. — Montana officials have issued a permit for a gigantic load of oil production equipment parked 10 miles outside the border to enter the state.
The Missoulian reports that the Montana Department of Transportation issued the permit Friday for the 450-ton shipment. The shipment for several days has been parked in a pullout off State Highway 93 in Idaho near the top of Lost Trail Pass.
Idaho State Police say the oversized load being moved by Omega Morgan didn’t move Saturday morning. A second oversized load parked on U.S. Highway 20 east of Arco also remained stationary.
The shipments are bound for the Kearl oil sands of Alberta in Canada.
