SEATTLE — Officials have identified a man who died after being struck by a car on Rucker Avenue on Saturday.
The death of Edward North, 42, of Everett, has been ruled an accident, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office. North was struck by a Toyota Corolla while crossing Rucker just after 7 p.m. Saturday, Everett police spokesman Aaron Snell said. The driver, a 22-year-old Lake Stevens woman, was unhurt.
North was taken to a local hospital and then transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he died on Sunday. His name was released Monday by officials in King County.
An Everett police investigation is ongoing, Snell said Tuesday.
“At this time, it does not appear that alcohol or drugs were factors in the collision,” he said.
