It’s time to start Mickey Mousing around.
The Disney gang is coming to town, complete with dancing cakes with cherries on top.
“Disney Junior Live On Tour! Pirate &Princess Adventure” will put on three performances on Sunday at Comcast Arena .
The production is part of a new 90-city national tour launched in 2013.
Yes, Disney was recently here putting on a show, Disney On Ice’s “Rockin’ Ever After.” This has different characters and it’s not on ice.
This show, geared for young children, is a way to give preschoolers their first theatrical experience that fits their wiring. Tots can squirm in their seats and sing at the top of their lungs.
Sharing the spotlight with Mickey and Minnie are characters from the cable TV series “Sofia the First” and “Jake and the Never Land Pirates.”
Expect everything from royal celebrations to danger and dueling on the high seas.
In “Never Land,” Jake and his swashbuckling pals get a hand from Peter Pan to battle Captain Hook to unlock treasure hidden inside a mysterious volcano.
With the help of Tinker Bell’s pixie dust, Jake and his crew fly above the stage in their journey.
Sofia delivers the perfect gift to her royal subjects at a friendship festival with the help of Cinderella, who visits the castle to assist in her mission for the right present.
Come early. Ten minutes before each performance is an interactive pre-show with Doc McStuffins. Children (and their parents) get to sing “The Check-Up Song” along with the 6-year-old doctor who provides tender love and care to stuffed toys and animals.
Tickets are $21 to $66.
Shows are 1, 4 and 7 p.m. Jan. 19.
