SEATTLE — A Seattle police officer who threatened to harass a journalist was docked a day’s pay.
The police department’s Office of Professional Accountability says Officer John Marion acted unprofessionally last July when he clashed with Dominic Holden. He’s the news editor of The Stranger who was photographing deputies surrounding a man at a transit station.
The Seattle Times reports Holden filed a complaint against Marion and wrote that his reaction was the sort of escalation for which the Justice Department has criticized Seattle police.
