Regarding the article, “Governor to seek $200M more for schools”: Of course our new Democratic governor calls for spending. That is the Democratic creed — tax and spend. This is why our state is in the financial condition it is in. That is all this state has known since Gary Locke left office with a large surplus — spend money we don’t have on things we don’t need. Make a bunch of promises, write the check and then tax the already over-taxed citizens some more to pay for it so the check doesn’t bounce. Then when the next thing “we can’t live without” comes along, we do it all over again.
