Crews were summoned just before 10:30 p.m., said Leslie Hynes, spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 1.
Firefighters were told that two people at the park needed medical care, Hynes said. Police also were called.
The man and woman both appeared to be in their 20s, Hynes said. The man’s injuries were described as life-threatening. The woman had serious injuries but was expected to survive.
Seattle-area media reported Friday night that police described the incident as a double suicide attempt.
