I would like to commend the staff of the Everett (Hoyt) Post Office. I have been amazed at how courteous and helpful the post office counter staff have been over the holidays.
They have had to endure nasty attitudes on occasion, but show patience, grace and restraint. Most of the delays I have observed of service have been because customers often didn’t know what they were doing. Some examples are: boxes not taped properly, address labels not completed, and questions that were not relevant to the expertise of the counter staff.
So may I say thank you to the staff at the post office. I still enjoy going and if there is a line, don’t blame them, just look at people to the right and left and smile.
P.S. Keep a roll of packing tape in your pocket to help the unprepared.
