EVERETT — Police are asking for help identifying a man who attacked a janitor at a movie-theater in Everett in November.
After leads didn’t pan out, police released surveillance video and stills Wednesday in hopes of generating tips.
The assault happened just before 2:30 a.m. Nov. 8, Everett police spokesman Aaron Snell said.
The janitor at the Everett Mall cinemas walked past the man, who was sitting in a hallway. The man yelled at the janitor and began punching him in the head.
When the janitor fell to the ground, the man kicked him in the head repeatedly before pulling out a knife, Snell said. The man then held the knife to the man’s throat, causing a small cut. The janitor was able to run away. The janitor suffered severe injuries and a concussion, Snell said.
The suspect is described as white, in his mid-20s and about 6 feet tall, with blonde hair. He wore a black jacket and blue jeans. His knife had a blue handle.
Anyone with information should call 911, the Everett police tipline at 425-257-8450 or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 800-222-TIPS.
