Robbery prompts lockdown at MP High

MARYSVILLE – A home-invasion robbery in Marysville on Thursday afternoon prompted a lockdown at nearby Marysville Pilchuck High School.
The robbery was reported about 1:30 p.m. in the 10500 block of 56th Drive NE, according to Marysville police.
The robbery involved guns and a dispute over stolen property. A scuffle broke out between the victims and the suspects. The victims fought back and called 911. One suspect was arrested at the scene.
The second suspect called 911 within an hour and surrendered, according to police.
The suspects, a 42-year-old man and 37-year-old woman, both from Arlington, were taken to the county jail.
The lockdown at the high school lasted about 20 minutes, and Marysville school buses were delayed up to 45 minutes, according to the school district.
Police did not release any information about the incident until after 8 p.m. Thursday.
