VERLOT —A 36-year-old Snoqualmie woman has died from injuries she suffered in a fall while snowshoeing in the Headlee Pass area, east of Verlot.
She was identified Monday as Diane Larson. Officials believe she fell at least 100 feet, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Rescue crews were called to the scene about 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Larson was flown in the sheriff’s rescue helicopter to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
Her death marks the second outdoors death in the county in as many weeks.
On Jan. 18, experienced climber Franklin Willard Bradshaw II, 52, of Mukilteo, died in a fall on Lewis Peak.
