What of loiterers outside McDs?

Recently, two letters were written about the 75th Street McDonalds, one defending the kids hanging out there and the other defending the management for not letting them hang out. Well, I have an even better one. In the downtown Everett area, from the 41st McDonalds to the one on Everett Avenue, there are people continuously hanging out in the restaurants and outside, all the time. Why can’t management do anything about that? Or better yet, why can’t the Everett Police Department do something? It is obvious to any paying customer what is going on there. Panhandlers, drug dealers, drug users, and other actions are running rampant in downtown, and it seems like the police are doing nothing. I know they can’t bust everyone, but it sure would be nice to see one day a downtown Everett where those people can’t hang out at those establishments and turn away decent people who are there to actually buy something.
