MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Arlene Fisher has been named the next city manager for Mountlake Terrace.
Fisher, 52, has been the city administrator in Cheney, near Spokane, since 2008.
Her hiring is pending the final terms of an employment contract, according to a city news release.
Fisher earned her bachelor’s degree in business and finance and a master’s degree in public administration. She also previously worked for the city of Liberty Lake.
The City Council noted her strong financial background, energy and drive, according to the release.
As city manager, Fisher will be involved in projects including the downtown revitalization and the Civic Center.
“We are excited to have Arlene come on board,” Mayor Jerry Smith said. “She’ll fit right in and hit the ground running to keep our city moving forward with our revitalization efforts.”
The job pays about $140,000 a year.
