Steampunk: See Steam Powered Giraffe perform at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at Historic Everett Theatre. If you’re really excited about steampunk, you can even get your photo taken with band. Cheer: A Seahawks rally is at 12:12 p.m. Friday at the Snohomish County Plaza, 3000 Rockefeller, Everett. There’s even a special dance. Learn it here.
Ribbit: The frog has his day in Snohomish on Saturday. Snohomish Slew makes a spring weather Frognostication at the town’s annual GroundFrog Day festival. The festival includes kids’ crafts, music with Tim Noah and face painting. The fun takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Snohomish Event Gazebo at 10 Ave. A along the riverfront.
Spirit of 12s: Seahawks fans and aerospace enthusiasts can get a close look at the Spirit of 12s, a Boeing-owned 747-8 freighter painted in honor of the Super Bowl-bound team, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Future of Flight Aviation Center &Boeing Tour. Visitors will be able to take photos of the jumbo jet. The museum, at 8415 Paine Field Blvd., Mukilteo, also is holding a 12th Man rally at noon Saturday on its Strato Deck. Both events are free.
Ice skating: There will be free ice-skating at Comcast Community Ice Rink on Sunday. Admission is free, but if you need to rent skates, that’s $3. There are two sessions, noon to 2 p.m. and 6 to 7:15 p.m. Skaters are encouraged to dress in their best Seahawks attire. Skating passes will be given to fans with the most spirit. There will be a big TV tuned in to the action in New Jersey, and the Power Play Café will be open. Call 425-322-2628 for more information.
Super Bowl: Watch the big game Sunday between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos on a 21-foot big screen at Historic Everett Theatre. It’s free and suitable for all ages. Lunch from Craving Cajun, including one beverage, will be available for $12; beer and wine will also be available and the concession stand will be open. Slosh, slosh: Take a guided winter walk at Camano Forest Ridge with the Friends of Camano Island Parks Saturday morning. Meet at 9:50 a.m. at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 East Camano Drive, for the 3.3-mile loop. It’s uphill for the first half-mile and then the trail levels out. Dress for the weather with sturdy boots or walking shoes. The walk is rain or shine. No dogs. It’s free, but trail maps are available for a $1 donation. Call 360-387-0889 for more information.
