SEATTLE — A felon who was caught target shooting in a national forest was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Seattle to eight years in prison.
Investigators found that 38-year-old John Christian Parks of Belfair had eight firearms, including four assault rifles.
With eight prior felony convictions, he’s banned from having guns. He was arrested in March 2013 and convicted in October for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
