VANCOUVER, Wash. — Former Washington State Patrol Lt. Kenneth S. Garrison appeared in court Friday in Vancouver and was ordered held on $1 million for investigation of rape.
The 50-year-old Vancouver man is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 5 in Clark County Superior Court. He was arrested Wednesday at a Portland motel.
The Columbian reports Garrison appeared in court with Vancouver lawyer Barry Brandenburg, who said it remains to be determined if he’ll represent Garrison.
Garrison resigned from the state patrol in December and retired Monday from his position as a lieutenant colonel in the Washington Army National Guard.
In the patrol, Garrison was responsible for supervising troopers in the southwest Washington district headquartered in Vancouver.
