Trey Chambers scored a game-high 20 points for the Grizzlies to go along with his four 3-pointers and Allan added a double-double for Glacier Peak, scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
“Trey shot the ball really well tonight,” said Glacier Peak head coach Brian Hunter. “He had a really great mindset of just competing tonight and our guys fed off of that.”
The win proved pivotal for the Grizzlies, who were coming off of a tough 14-point loss to Shorecrest on Tuesday.
“We’ve really had a simple motto all year,” said Hunter. “All year our goal was to focus on the moment and to not lose two games in a row. If you’re not gonna lose two games in a row then you’re never going to have a losing streak. We just focus on the things we can control, like how we execute and what kind of teammate you want to be.”
The Grizzlies came back after being down early to the Mavs’ 13-8 to end the first quarter. Glacier Peak would force tough shots and limit second chance opporunties in the second half on route to outscoring Meadowdale 33-19 in the second half.
