EVERETT A 22-year-old Everett man who crashed his car Saturday while fleeing from police on I-5 near Lynnwood has been released from the hospital and booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
The man was being held Monday for investigation of attempting to elude police and driving under the influence.
The Washington State Patrol said the man was driving northbound on I-5 near the I-405 interchange when a trooper attempted to stop his BMW. He reportedly sped away. The crash happened as the fleeing car attempted to pass a semi-truck on the right shoulder and hit the guardrail.
The driver was ejected as the vehicle left the road shortly after midnight.
