EVERETT — Police have ruled out suspicious circumstances in the death of a man near I-5 in Everett in November.
Zachary E. Mori, 20, of Everett, was found unconscious about 3:30 a.m. Nov. 4 off the right shoulder of the freeway, just beneath the 75th Street overpass, according to the Washington State Patrol. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He had blunt-force injuries, officials said at the time.
Detectives believe that Mori either accidentally fell from the overpass or jumped, trooper Mark Francis said Thursday. Detectives do not think any vehicles were involved.
The investigation is ongoing pending final autopsy reports, Francis said.
