PNAA awards $33,450 in scholarships

Last week the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance awarded $33,450 in scholarships to 22 students during its annual conference.

“The PNAA Scholarship Program is designed to support the educational dreams of students preparing for careers that will to take our industry into the future,” PNAA Executive Director Melanie Jordan said in a news release. “This year, the scholarship program set a record with 17 sponsors providing funding for minimum scholarships of $1,000 for students at nine colleges and universities in the Pacific Northwest.”

Sponsors include Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee, ASKO Processing, Aviation Partners, Boeing, Center for Excellence and Advanced Materials Manufacturing, Esterline/Hytek Finishes, GM Nameplate, District 751 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Inceptra, Jet Parts Engineering Inc., LMI Aerospace, Moss Adams, Orion Aerospace, the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace, Ted Croft of Pyrotek, ThyssenKrupp and Umbra Cuscinetti.
