ROSEBURG, Ore. — Police say a Southern Oregon man found his wife in a mobile home bedroom with another man and fatally shot him.
A police affidavit describes the killing early Saturday of 30-year-old Robert Williams at a trailer park in Winston, south of Roseburg.
The News-Review reported 38-year-old Donald Dwight Davis was arrested that evening in nearby Tenmile.
The affidavit says Davis told investigators he looked out his window about 2:45 a.m., saw his wife’s car at Williams’ trailer, and when nobody answered his knock there, let himself in.
Police said Davis initially told them Williams lunged at him and the gun went off, but later said he pulled the trigger.
Davis’ attorney, Elizabeth Baker of Eugene, did not immediately return a call.
