Veterinary school doctors and students are nursing them back to health until they can be adopted.
Veterinary student Robyn Thompson told KVAL-TV they call it the “alpaca-lypse.”
The Polk County sheriff’s office stepped in last week after owners of Jocelyns’ Alpaca Ranch could not care for the animals. The owners are facing charges.
