Prep girls basketball: Ferndale 55, Shorecrest 51

FERNDALE — Hannah Carlson scored a game-high 22 points as Ferndale rallied in the fourth quarter to beat Shorecrest in the opening round of 3A District 1 Tournament play.
Onyie Chibuogwu scored 17 to lead the Scots, who host Marysville Pilchuck in a loser-out game on Saturday at 7 p.m.
