Associated Press
Published:
SEATTLE — Forecasters say a series Pacific storms blowing through Washington will drop several feet of snow in the Cascades by next week.
The National Weather Service says the storms will be gusty at times and bring heavy rains in places.
The snow will increase the risk of avalanches in the mountains. Rain could result in flooding on the Skokomish and Chehalis rivers.
Forecasters also expect rain with mountain snow for most of Eastern Washington. They see a trend toward colder temperatures next week.
