Facebook wants to give users more options to describe themselves, including 50 different terms to identify their gender.
Also available are three personal pronoun choices: him, her or them. But no “it,” which is reserved for ex-spouses.
Golden nanny state: The California Legislature is debating a bill that would require health warning labels on pop and other sugary drinks.
The labels, warning of obesity, diabetes and tooth decay, would be affixed to packaging for drinks that contain at least 75 calories in a 12-ounce serving. For 64-ounce “Big Gulp” servings, the warnings would also note that “You’re going to need a Rascal Scooter someday.”
Nation’s florists are standing by: A new survey finds 66 percent of paired-off adults say their relationships are perfect or nearly so. Also, most are excited for Valentine’s Day and have a gift on their wish list for the holiday.
Furthermore, nearly 90 percent of male respondents were very glad to be contacted by the pollsters, since it reminded them that today is Valentine’s Day.
