SILVERDALE — Lake Stevens had 10 wrestlers qualify for the state tournament, but the Vikings couldn’t repeat as champions of the 4A Regional I Tournament as Yelm took the team title on Saturday at Central Kitsap High School.
Michael Soler (113 pounds), Jake Douglas (126), Noah Cuzzetto (132), Cody Vigoren (195) all finished as individual champions for the Vikings, who finished with 187 points, 34 behind Yelm.
Snohomish’s Garrett Stich and Tristan Baus topped the 182-pound and 220-pound weight classes, respectively, to lead the Panthers to a third-place finish.
Other first-place finishers included Arlington’s Jeremy Nygard (106), Lynnwood’s Hunter Lord (160) and Kamiak’s Tyler Webley (170).
