FERNDALE — Michael Painter scored 20 points and Marysville Pilchuck held off a late rally by Ferndale to win the 3A District 1 loser-out contest. The Tomahawks advance to play Mountlake Terrace in the third-place game on Thursday at 6 p.m. for the final regional berth.
