SEATTLE — The Weather Service forecasts another 4 to 8 inches of snow Thursday in the Cascade Rage, where several feet of snow have fallen in the past 10 days.
Driving remains difficult in the passes and drivers on Snoqualmie and Stevens passes should be prepared to chain up and expect closures for avalanche control.
The Northwest Avalanche Center says the avalanche danger in the Cascades Thursday is high.
The National Weather Service also forecast snow Thursday across northeast Washington. A rain-snow mix is forecast for Spokane.
Forecaster say the weather will turn drier and colder Friday, followed by the chance of weekend showers. Lowland snow is possible Saturday north of Seattle.
