Camp named Snohomish County hearing examiner

EVERETT — The Snohomish County Council on Wednesday unanimously confirmed executive’s office veteran Peter Camp as the county’s new hearing examiner.
Camp, 57, beat two other candidates for the job, which will pay about $156,000 per year. He will replace the former hearing examiner, Gordon Sivley, who retired this year.
Camp, a Columbia law school graduate, has worked as an executive director in the county executive’s office and before that for the city of Everett.
His departure will leave two top two management jobs open in County Executive John Lovick’s administration. Lovick has hired a search firm to help recruit applicants for those positions.
