How they got to regionals: Tulalip Heritage beat Neah Bay in the District 1/2/3 Tri-District championship game to earn the tri-district’s No. 1 seed; Wilbur-Creston beat Valley Christian in the District 7 third-place game to earn the district’s No. 3 seed.
Players to watch: Tulalip Heritage—Bradley Fryberg, G; Keanu Hamilton, F/P; Shawn Sanchey, F/P; Willy Enick, G; Wilbur-Creston—Nick Densley, Dorian Jaeger, Colton Magers, Garet Townsend.
Breakdown: Wilbur-Creston stumbled to the finish line, losing five of its final 10 games. But the Wildcats won three of four games in the District 7 tournament to earn the No. 3 seed and a trip across the state to play Tulalip Heritage, which hasn’t lost since Jan. 7 and is ranked No. 3 in the state. Last weekend, the Hawks beat No. 1-ranked Neah Bay to earn the No. 1 seed and a virtual home game today in the regional round.
