ARLINGTON — The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office on Friday confirmed that remains found on an Arlington-area property are those of Byron Wright.
Wright was 53 when he disappeared in 2004. His body was found in February after police worked with an informant.
His former wife, Michele Donohue, is charged with murder in the case. Prosecutors allege that she stabbed Wright to death and buried him underneath a concrete slab.
Wright’s cause and manner of death remain under investigation, officials said Friday.
Donohue reportedly told Wright’s family, friends and employer that he had run off with a wealthy young girlfriend.
The charges are filed in district court. Prosecutors have until March 7 to re-file charges in Snohomish County Superior Court.
