A community health fair is planned from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 15 at the Lynnwood Senior Center, 19000 44th Ave. W.
There will be free activities for kids and free blood-pressure screenings. There also will be help with understanding health insurance options, including information for Spanish speakers.

Horse camp essay contest: Camp Horse Country at Horse Country Farm in Granite Falls is accepting entries for its annual essay contest until May 15. First- through ninth-graders should write an essay about either “I love horses because …” or “I want to come to horse camp because …” First prize in each age category is a free three-day session of horse camp.

Help for job-seekers: Village Community Services in Arlington is offering free monthly WorkStrides seminars for job-seekers with physical, psychological or mental disabilities. The seminars are free thanks to grants.
The next WorkStrides seminar is March 18-20 at the Royal Pacific Building in the Smokey Point neighborhood of Arlington. Sessions begin at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. Participants must commit to attending all three days.
