Students to perform in the Tulalip Elementary talent show included Laura Lary, Linda Faleen, Denise O’Hara, Steve Boursaw, Diane Nelson, Carol Krystad, Bruce Johnson, Roy Hatch, Herman Williams, Steve Jones, Steve Gobin, Cynthia Edlund, Debbie Gobin , Charmaine Harrison, Connie Taylor and Lorraine Bonifaci.
Popp’s Dry cleaning, 1409 Hewitt Ave, advertised one-day service. They arranged shop time to pick up, clean, press and return the drapes. The shop was equipped to give quality work and fast service.
25 years ago (1989)
The city of Everett moved to give its homely eastside riverfront a facelift. City council members voted to OK a study to see how much a new road for Riverside Parkway would benefit the area. The land that would be opened up for development was that along the Snohomish River between Lowell and the U.S. 2 trestle.
Steuart Seafoods was closing its retail store at 1520 W. Marine View Drive. Expanding their wholesale operation was necessitating the move. There were specials through March 10 on fresh and frozen seafood, condiments and kitchen goods.
