Two-time Olympian, and former Marysville Pilchuck Tomahawk, Jarred Rome is returning to his old stomping grounds this month to put on a throws clinic March 15 at Marysville Pilchuck High School.
Rome, a two-time national champion and six-time NCAA All-American, is inviting local athletes and coaches to the clinic, where he will teach techniques for shot put, discus and javelin. Check in for the clinic runs from 9-10 a.m. before a seven-hour session with a one-hour lunch break. It costs $90 for athletes and $110 for coaches, with group rates available for schools that bring five or more athletes and/or two or more coaches.
The clinic will take place “rain, snow or shine” according to a press release, which advises participants to dress for the elements.
