The National Weather Service in Seattle on Tuesday issued a flood watch notice, meaning flooding is possible but not imminent.
Locally, the Snohomish River is predicted to continue rising until Friday.
Between Tuesday and Thursday, up to two inches of rain could fall in the lowlands, according to the weather service.
